Head Office is located in Hawthorn East, Melbourne and provides a permanent location base for our employees. Furthermore, we offer mobile based independant contractor positions throughout Australia and New Zealand, as an IT Consultant.
IT Consultants Required
In maintaining a professional consultant base covering Australia and New Zealand, we are particularly interested in IT/AV technicians willing to work as independant contractors for Quicknowledge.
The IT part of the role will require you to be proficient with:
- Onsite Installations/Upgrades/Troubleshooting of new PC's and notebooks
- Setting up Peripherals (Printers/Scanners/Cameras/ADSL/Modems)
- Internet Access (Dialup/Broadband)
- Setting up Networks (Peer to Peer/Wireless)
- Knowledge of Modern Anti-Virus Packages
- Replacing Faulty Components and Undertaking PC/Warranty Repair Services
- Windows Media Centre Experience is Highly Recommended, and AV (Audio Visual) Capability - connecting computers to televisions, using capture cards etc.
The AV part of the role will require you to be proficient with:
- AV Equipment Intergration with PC's
- Soldering and Terminating Cable
- Fabricating and Installing Equipment Racks
- Installing Projectors/Plasma Screens
- Cabling through Roof and Wall Cavities
- Performing AV Equipment Related Repairs
- Sound Understanding of AV Hardware/Software
- Advanced PC skills (As per IT Consultant Skillset above)
- Familiar with all the Latest Industrial IT Advancements
- Prior Experience in providing AV Support and Installations
- Formal Qualifications Essential
- Microsoft Windows Media Centre Experience
